Our wonderful host, the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, shared their photos of our 2017 Satellite Meeting with us, as did our section members.
Here are our attendees from around the world, as well as representatives from our host library, the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (aka StaBi).
The program included inspiring examples of how to provide inclusive library services for everyone. Below, two presenters discuss how pool resources for multicultural and multilingual with other libraries and library organizations…
… such as this colorful illustrated poster!
The group dynamic was very collegial. Thanks to inclusive question-and-answer sessions, as wel as, group and panel discussions, everyone was able to contribute their expertise and experience with bringing library services to refugees, immigrants and other underserved populations.
We also enjoyed taking a tour of the StaBi’s famous Potsdamer Straße building and learning how the library operates.
The panel discussion featuring the first four speakers was very informative and participative.
The panelists received IFLA MCULTP shirts as thanks!
Thank you to the StaBi User Services department, as well as our own section members, for sharing these photos and videos!
Thank you also to all the speakers, organizers, volunteers and participants, as well as to your hosts at the StaBi, for a inspiring and informative conference.
